HM King Hamad Receives President of Pakistan on Official Visit

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at Al-Qudaibiya Palace today during the President’s official visit to Bahrain.

Upon arrival, President Zardari was accompanied by Mrs. Asifa Bhutto Zardari, First Lady of Pakistan. A formal reception was held, including a 21-gun salute and the performance of the national anthems of both Bahrain and Pakistan. The President greeted senior Bahraini officials, while His Majesty welcomed members of the visiting Pakistani delegation.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the strong historical ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, as well as the growth of bilateral cooperation across various fields, emphasizing continued joint efforts to enhance relations for the benefit and prosperity of both nations.

President Zardari also signed the guest book, expressing his pride in visiting Bahrain and meeting with His Majesty.

Following the ceremonial events, an expanded session of talks was held between the King and the Pakistani President, attended by senior officials from both countries, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual interests.
