Committee on Enhancing Institutional Performance Proposes Changes: Al-Awadhi Requests Withdrawal, Shwaiter Seeks Membership

Manama: MP Hisham Abdulaziz Al-Awadhi has submitted an official request to withdraw from the Standing Committee for Studying the Enhancement of Institutional Performance of Sports Federations and Clubs. In a letter addressed to His Excellency the Speaker of the House of Representatives, he expressed his wish for the necessary measures to be taken in this regard.
Meanwhile, MP Iman Hassan Shwaiter has submitted a request to join the same committee, affirming her interest in contributing to its work and supporting its objectives. She expressed hope that the Council Presidency would approve her request.
The committee, which is the first to be formed during the current parliamentary session, was established at the request of the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Its mandate is to study proposals aimed at improving the efficiency and institutional performance of sports federations and clubs, as well as examining mechanisms to enhance governance and management practices.
The committee is chaired by MP Mohammed Al-Alawi, with MP Maryam Al-Dhaen serving as vice-chairperson. Its members include MPs Abdul-Hakim Al-Shano, Abdul-Wahid Qarata, Hanan Fardan, Hassan Ibrahim, and Hisham Al-Awadhi.
