Northern Governor Reviews New Ahlia University Campus Project
His Excellency Mr. Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Governor of the Northern Governorate, received a high-level delegation from Ahlia University this morning, including Founding President Professor Abdullah Al Hawaj and President Professor Mansour Al Ali. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and supporting educational projects that serve as pillars for Bahrain’s sustainable development. Governor Al Madani praised the university’s role in advancing higher education and noted that the upcoming Salman City campus aligns with the “Healthy Cities” initiative. The project integrates environmental sustainability and healthy urban planning to enhance the local quality of life. Professor Al Hawaj confirmed the university will move to the new campus by September 2026.

The Street Cricket League (SCL) officially launched at the Wyndham Grand Hotel, introducing a bold cricket platform for non-professional players. He highlighted that the SCL aligns with the vision of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to position Bahrain as a regional cricket leader.

The Fina Khair Volunteer Team and Abdulrahman Kanoo Parents Care Club successfully hosted the National Giving Bazaar at Fatima Al Shukr Hall from December 25 to 27. The bazaar featured familyoriented activities, including children’s entertainment and a traditional Sudanese Ardha performance by the Al-Khawalda Association. Distinguished guests, including MP Dr. Mariam Al-Dhaen and MP Abdulhakim Al-Shanoo, joined prominent voluntary leaders to support the initiative. Bahrain Charity Association Approves Budget and Reviews New Headquarters Progress
The Bahrain Charity Association’s Board of Directors, chaired by Mr. Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo, has officially approved the association’s budget, emphasizing a commitment to financial transparency and governance. The board also conducted an extensive review of the association’s new building project alongside contractors, engineers, and legal accountants. Mar Thoma Youth Movement Hosts ‘Christmas Eve’ Celebration
The Mar Thoma Youth Movement Bahrain Centre hosted a festive ‘Christmas Eve’ celebration at St. Paul’s Mar Thoma Church, bringing together youth from the Bahrain Mar Thoma and St. Paul’s Mar Thoma parishes. Presided over by Rev. Samuel Varghese, the event featured a Christmas message and was attended by vice presidents Rev. Biju John, Rev. Aneesh Samuel John, and Siji Philip, alongside the executive committee. Nearly 100 participants enjoyed a program of cultural performances and traditional carols. The joint gathering aimed to foster unity and friendship among the youth of both parishes.
