Kannada Sangha Bahrain made history on December 16, 2025, by creating the largest rice mosaic of Bahrain, earning official recognition from the Golden Book of World Records.
The record attempt was a highlight of the Bahrain National Day celebrations, adding a unique global achievement to the festivities.
Bahrain has long been a stage for groundbreaking firsts in the Gulf, from the first Formula 1 track to cultural and literary milestones.
Yesterday, Kannada Sangha added another historic achievement, blending artistry with national pride.
The initiative, conceived just days before the celebrations, received formal clearance two days ahead of the event.
Despite the short timeframe, the Sangha successfully completed the record attempt and has already received the initial certificate, while the final certification is expected following the standard verification process.
The event, held at the Kannada Sangha Auditorium, brought together members, volunteers, and well-wishers in a lively display of creativity and community spirit.
The auditorium came alive as the one-of-a-kind Bahrain map took shape, crafted entirely from rice grains in shades of red, white, and blue.
Stretching 18 metres in length and 8 metres in width, the map captured the Kingdom’s outline with remarkable precision.
From afar, it presented a striking, unified tribute; up close, each grain sparkled under the lights, reflecting the meticulous care of the volunteers.
Subtle color variations highlighted islands and regions, adding depth and texture to the artwork. Spectators leaned over in awe.
