Bahraini Women’s Day Celebrated in Oman with Inspiring Talks
Muscat: A cultural event celebrating Bahraini Women's Day was held in Oman, featuring a panel discussion titled ‘Bahraini Faces... Media Journeys’. The event was patronized by H.H. Sayyid Namir bin Salim bin Ali Al Said and highlighted the influential role of Bahraini women in media and culture.
Bahrain's Ambassador to Oman, H.E. Dr. Juma Al Kaabi, praised the strong ties between Bahrain and Oman and the impact of Bahraini women in media and culture. Rudeina Al-Hajriyah, President of the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association, highlighted the session's aim to showcase inspiring Gulf women and support impactful media experiences.
The event featured a panel discussion with prominent Bahraini women, including media figure Yasmin Mufeed, architect Haneen Al-Muqahwi, and financial engineer Fatema Shakeeb, who shared their experiences and insights on media, culture and women's empowerment. The session explored themes such as diverse media experiences, professional challenges and the role of women in content creation and social influence.
The event concluded with Engineer Enas Mahmood reflecting on the impact of travel on personal growth and the media's role in fostering cultural exchange. H.H. Sayyid Namir bin Salim bin Ali Al Said honoured the speakers, recognising their valuable contributions and the event's cultural significance, highlighting the importance of cultural and media cooperation in empowering women and strengthening Bahraini-Omani relations.
