14th GCC–EU Economic Dialogue

Dr. Mohammed Ali Behzad, Ambassador of Bahrain to Belgium, led the Kingdom’s delegation at the 14th GCC–EU Economic Dialogue, convened yesterday at the European Commission in Brussels.
The GCC Secretariat’s delegation was headed by Dr. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Owaishek, GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs, and Negotiations.
The EU side was led by Annika Ericsgård, Director for International Economic and Financial Relations and Global Governance, with participation from senior experts and officials from both the GCC and the European Union.
Dr. Behzad noted that the dialogue has become an important forum for deepening cooperation between the GCC and the EU, particularly as both sides look to address shared economic pressures, support sustainable growth and identify new areas for partnership in trade, investment and clean energy.
