Bahraini Rapper Hits Indian Charts After Bollywood Debut

Bahraini rapper Flipperachi has seen a surge in popularity in India after his track FA9LA was featured in the recently released Bollywood spy thriller Dhurandhar.

The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, uses the track during a key scene involving Khanna’s character.

Ranveer Singh, who plays the protagonist, shared a clip from the movie on Instagram featuring the track in the background. Captioning the post, he wrote, “So here’s ‘THAT’ track from the movie 😉🎶 ……. FLIPPERACHI.”

Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Aseem, is one of the Arab world’s leading Khaleeji hip-hop artists. He is widely recognized for his collaborations with international musicians.

The 2024 Bahraini Artist of the Year winner is known for hits such as Ee Laa, Shino AlKalam Hatha, Shoofha, and Nayda, as well as popular tracks Akuma Yaw and Hayalla Min Yana. His track FA9LA has already amassed over 7 million views on YouTube and became a social media sensation in Sri Lanka for its catchy rhythm.

Flipperachi has collaborated with several global artists, including The Game and Shaggy, and recently teamed up with basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal to create a soundtrack for Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

Dhurandhar reportedly collected ₹28.60 crore (approx. Dh11.67 million) at the Indian box office on its opening day, drawing strong audiences across both urban and rural areas. The film’s sequel is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026, as announced in the end credits of the first installment.
