U.S. Embassy Launches 'America 250' Initiative in Bahrain with Classic Car Show

Manama: The US Embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Classic Car Club and Water Garden City, launched the "America 250" initiative with a spectacular classic American car show on Friday. This event marked the beginning of a series of celebrations commemorating the 250th anniversary of US independence.

US Chargé d'Affaires Elizabeth Lichfield emphasised the significance of this initiative, highlighting the strong partnership between the US and Bahrain. "This initiative is not just about remembering the past; it's about celebrating the innovation, creativity, and spirit of possibility that continue to define the United States," she said.

The event drew over 100 classic American car owners, showcasing the popularity of American models among Bahrain's car enthusiasts. The US Air Force Central Command Band added to the festive atmosphere with a musical program featuring popular pop, country, and classic rock songs.

The "America 250" initiative will continue with cultural exchanges, artistic events, and more, culminating in the celebration of US independence in 2026
