New Horizon School Hosts Bahrain Mental Math Competition Season 2

TDT I Manama 

New Horizon School, Zinj Branch, successfully hosted the second season of the Bahrain Mental Math Competition. The highly anticipated event drew an estimated 800 students from 21 schools across the Kingdom, showcasing a strong commitment to enhancing mathematical excellence and STEM education.

The competition kicked off with a grand inaugural ceremony. Chief Guest Mr. V.K. Thomas (ICRF Chairman) and Guest of Honour Dr. Anupama Prasanth (Dean, College of Computer Studies, University of Technology)   highlighted the crucial role of mental mathematics in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The event concluded with a grand finale  featuring cultural performances by students of NHS and Braincraft International. Speeches by esteemed guests, including MP H.E Mohamed Hussain Al Janahi, further stressed the importance of mathematical excellence in education. Chairman Mr. Joy Mathews reaffirmed the school’s dedication to nurturing academic talent.

The event also saw the launch of the NHS E-Magazine 2024, showcasing the school's achievements.  For the second consecutive year, New Millennium School was declared the overall champions.

The event was led by  Mrs. Dhanya George and Mrs. Liji Syam, Non-Academic Coordinator. The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the dedication and academic excellence of top performers across all grade levels.
