Bahrain to Open 54 Classrooms for Students with Special Needs Next Year
Manama: The Ministry of Education in Bahrain is set to open 54 new classrooms for students with special needs next year, marking the largest expansion in the country's history. Minister of Education, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Jumaa, announced that the Bahrain Teachers College has incorporated training for dealing with people with special needs into its curriculum, ensuring that graduating teachers are equipped to support these students.
The ministry has also implemented training programmes for previously graduated teachers to enhance their skills in supporting students with special needs. Last year, 13 new classes were opened, and the ministry has sent students with special needs on scholarships and facilitated their university enrolment.
This initiative demonstrates Bahrain's commitment to providing inclusive education and supporting students with special needs. The expansion is expected to benefit many students and promote a more inclusive learning environment.
