Bahrain’s first-ever Global Food Show, organized by Global Connections in collaboration with the SME Society, officially opened its doors this week at Exhibition World, marking a milestone for the Kingdom’s growing food and beverage sector.
The event is designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and sustainable growth, as the global food market approaches an estimated $9 trillion by 2025.
Under the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the leadership of Dr. Abdelhassan Al Dairi, Chairman of Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the Kingdom continues to cement its position as a regional hub for food exports, re-exports, manufacturing, and culinary development.
“The inaugural Global Food Show is more than a showcase of products,” Dr. Al Dairi said in his welcome address. “It is a platform for innovation, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, bringing together manufacturers, distributors, retailers, academics, investors, and policymakers under one roof. This event highlights the strength of Bahrain’s food industry.”
