Kingdom hails UN support for Gaza

The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the United Nations Security Council resolution endorsing the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza.
The resolution calls for a ceasefire and the creation of a “Peace Council” as a transitional body with international legal standing to coordinate reconstruction and recovery funding.
It also calls for the full resumption of humanitarian aid, the formation of a temporary international force to promote stability, protect civilians, disarm militants, and support Palestinian police forces, in line with international and humanitarian law.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain’s appreciation for the efforts of the United States in drafting the resolution and securing its adoption in cooperation with Security Council members and regional and international partners.
