Royal Medical Services Signs Major Agreement with UOB

The Royal Medical Services has signed a landmark cooperation agreement with the University of Bahrain. The partnership aims to enhance academic collaboration, advance medical training, and exchange professional expertise between the two national institutions.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University of Bahrain’s Board of Trustees, and Brigadier Dr. Sheikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services. Senior officials from both sides attended the ceremony.

Under the new framework, both institutions will work together to develop joint educational and training programs across medical specializations, conduct scientific studies and research, and share the outcomes with the broader academic and healthcare community. The agreement also includes organizing conferences, workshops, and professional development courses, alongside strengthening clinical training for national talent to elevate the overall quality of healthcare services.

H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma emphasized that the agreement marks an important milestone in enhancing academic and research cooperation between universities and health institutions across Bahrain. He noted that sharing scientific and training expertise will play a vital role in developing national competencies and raising the standard of medical education and research to better serve society.

From his side, Brigadier Dr. Sheikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa highlighted that the partnership aligns with the Royal Medical Services’ strategy to support scientific research, academic training, and professional exchange. He affirmed that the collaboration will contribute significantly to advancing medical services and nurturing national medical professionals.
