Nine Nations, One Mission in Bahrain

The curtain came down today on the third joint exercise of the International Security Alliance, hosted by Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior, in the presence of Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, and Lieutenant General His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The three-day field exercise, the first of its kind organized by the Alliance, aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise among member states’ security agencies. It featured a range of activities including workshops, tactical training, investigative exercises, data analysis, and sessions focused on command, control, and joint operational planning to counter cross-border crimes.

Participants from nine countries—Bahrain, the UAE, Morocco, Senegal, France, Spain, Singapore, Italy, and Slovakia—took part alongside representatives of law enforcement agencies, tactical units, rapid response teams, aviation, communications, and media specialists.

Welcoming His Highness Shaikh Saif bin Zayed to Bahrain, Minister of Interior Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised his visionary leadership since the founding of the International Security Alliance, an initiative dedicated to tackling organized and transnational crime in all its forms and advancing preventive strategies.

He also expressed appreciation for His Highness’s commitment to overseeing the stages of the exercise, reflecting the importance placed on its advanced and realistic security scenarios. The Minister commended the organizational and technical capabilities provided by the UAE in coordination with Alliance members, which played a crucial role in achieving the exercise’s objectives to confront shared threats.

Shaikh Rashid further lauded the professionalism, preparedness, and high-level performance demonstrated by the participating teams, describing their contribution as a testament to the evolving excellence of international security cooperation.
