Interior Minister Confirms Ongoing Investigation into Maritime Incident, Emphasises Seafarer Safety
His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the maritime incident that occurred on 20 October 2025, which resulted in a citizen going missing.
HE the Interior Minister expressed his sympathy and support to the family of the missing sailor, noting that intensive search operations are continuing to locate him.
General Shaikh Rashid stressed the importance of seafarers’ cooperation with the Coast Guard by adhering to safety procedures and navigational guidelines to ensure their protection. He also reaffirmed the Interior Ministry’s commitment to continuously enhancing the Coast Guard’s capabilities and resources to safeguard all seafarers and maintain maritime safety.
