Two Arrested for Gold Jewellery Theft in Capital Governorate

In a swift and efficient operation, the Capital Governorate Police Directorate has arrested a man and a woman, aged 31 and 33, of Arab nationality, for their involvement in a gold theft scheme that targeted a jewellery shop in the Capital Governorate.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the suspects were caught after allegedly stealing genuine gold pieces and replacing them with counterfeit items in an attempt to deceive shop owners.

Following a thorough investigation, officers successfully identified and apprehended the duo responsible for the crime. Legal measures have been initiated, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding businesses and ensuring that such deceptive practices are swiftly brought to justice.
