Bahrain Condemns Israeli Knesset Vote on West Bank Sovereignty Bills
The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset’s approval of two bills aimed at imposing Israeli sovereignty over the occupied West Bank and illegal settlements, describing the move as a blatant violation of international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the position expressed by U.S. President Donald Trump, who reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the status of the occupied West Bank, recognizing his efforts to advance comprehensive peace in the region.
The ministry called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities, urging Israel to halt its escalatory actions and unlawful measures.
Bahrain also emphasized the necessity of respecting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, underscoring that this path is essential for achieving a just and lasting peace that ensures security and stability across the Middle East.
