Tree Week Ends with Northern Municipality Drive

The Northern Municipality wrapped up its Tree Week activities at Hamad Town Walkway 1209, in cooperation with the Municipal Council, Friends of Parks, and the Abdul Rahman Kanoo Parents’ Social Club.
The event saw widespread community participation with the planting of several trees to enhance green spaces and urban aesthetics. Seedlings were also distributed to residents via the Ministry’s mobile nursery to encourage home gardening.
The Municipality affirmed this initiative supports the National Afforestation and Sustainable Development Plan and fosters community participation in environmental conservation.
Northern Municipal Council Chairman Shaber Al-Wadaei praised the event for raising environmental awareness and promoting a culture of afforestation.
