Muharraq Celebrates Tree Week with Planting Drive

Muharraq Municipality, in line with the directives and patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, organized various activities to mark Tree Week.
Director General Eng. Khalid Ali Al-Qallaf stated that the initiative is a crucial national occasion to consolidate environmental awareness and promote the culture of tree planting.
He noted that the activities, which included planting and distributing seedlings in public areas, schools, and clubs across the Governorate, directly support the National Afforestation Plan to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035 and Bahrain’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
