Friends of Dilmun Tour Guides Organize Exploratory Trip to Hawar Islands

The “Friends of Dilmun Tour Guides” organization recently organized an exploratory trip to the Hawar Islands to experience the island’s pristine natural beauty and its state-of-the-art hospitality facilities. The visit was coordinated with the resort’s management and included the participation of several tour guides from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Mirza Al Nashit, Chairman of the Friends of Dilmun Tour Guides, said the trip comes as part of an initiative to promote eco-tourism as a strategic and sustainable tourism product. He emphasized that the association’s goals align with the wise government’s vision to preserve and enhance Bahrain’s natural and environmental landmarks.

Al Nashit highlighted that the Hawar Islands stand out as a unique model, offering a rich blend of natural diversity and modern hotel facilities that make them a true source of pride for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He further noted that the association’s activities complement the ongoing efforts of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) to safeguard and promote the country’s historical, environmental, and tourism landmarks. “We were pleased to host our Saudi colleagues from the Heritage and Antiquities Association to strengthen regional tourism cooperation and include the island within joint tourism programs between the two countries,” he said.

Al Nashit also underscored the importance of professional tour guiding in showcasing Bahrain’s potential as a sustainable tourism destination on both regional and global levels. He extended his appreciation to the resort management, Bahraini artist Abbas Al Mousawi—who gifted the hotel several artworks depicting the island’s scenery—and everyone who contributed to the success of this exceptional trip.
