Breast Cancer Awareness campaign successful

The Indian Community Welfare Association (ICRF Bahrain) in association with the American Mission Hospital (AMH) conducted a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign on Friday, 3 October 2025 for female house-helps.
Around 70 house-helps attended the program held at the American Mission Hospital in Manama. Chief Guest for the event was Ms Nedal Abdulla AlAlawai from the Ministry of Interior.
All participants underwent BP checkup followed by physical examination and doctor consultation.
Dr Lakshmi Govind spoke about the importance of early screening and guided on self examination tips.
Support
AMH staff nurses Ms Mariamma Koshy and Shanthi Tresa Noronha were providing necessary support.
Further follow ups including ultra-sound/mammogram as required will be conducted by AMH at free of charge.
ICRF Women’s Forum team members Shyamala, Anu Jose, Althea DSouza, Swapna Gowli, Kalpana Patil, Sandra Palanna, Deepshika, Ruchi Chakraborty, Raji Murali, Arti Agarwal, Brainy Tomar, Papia Guha and Rayna Correa were leading the event today.
All participants were provided with gift hampers and snacks by ICRF Bahrain.
