The Ministry of Works has announced the completion of its comprehensive road maintenance plan covering the main road network across Bahrain’s governorates. The Ministry confirmed that the works included several key strategic roads, such as: Dry Dock Avenue (from Arad Avenue to Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway), Kuwait Avenue (from the Salmaniya Avenue junction to the Oman Avenue junction), turning lanes on Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway and the Seef intersection, the junction of Shaikh Daij Avenue with Qasr Avenue, as well as sections of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway.

Additional completed works include Umm Jaleed Avenue (from Riffa Avenue to Umm Al Naasan Avenue), Mazra’a Avenue (from Shaikh Isa Avenue to Avenue 2), Avenue 2 in Sanabis (from Budaiya Highway to Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway), as well as various sections of Exhibition Avenue and Qasr Avenue.

The Ministry also carried out expansion joint maintenance on several bridges, including Shaikh Hamad Bridge, the Salman Port left-turn bridge, the Umm Al Hassam left-turn bridge, and sections of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway near the Saar interchange.

The Ministry emphasized its close coordination with the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Traffic, to ensure public safety and maintain smooth traffic movement. This included the implementation of temporary diversions on major roads and the execution of bridge joint maintenance works.

Reaffirming its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development, the Ministry of Works stressed that it will continue to dedicate resources to maintaining and upgrading the Kingdom’s road network. The Ministry extended its gratitude to all citizens and residents for their cooperation during the maintenance period.
