Bahrain Launches First Digital Bus Station in Strategic Partnership with stc

 

The Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with stc Bahrain to launch the kingdom’s first digital bus station, marking a major step toward supporting the national transport strategy and advancing Bahrain’s digital transformation. The initiative reinforces Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in smart and sustainable transportation.

Fatima Abdullah Al-Da’an, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry, highlighted that the launch of the digital bus station represents a significant leap in developing the transport sector. She said the project promotes the use of advanced digital solutions, offers an enhanced experience for passengers, and supports the kingdom’s move toward more sustainable cities and communities, in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.

Shaikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, stc Bahrain’s Vice President for Government Affairs, expressed the company’s pride in the partnership. He said, “The launch of Bahrain’s first digital bus station is a strategic investment in developing the transport system and supporting the future of the national economy. At stc Bahrain, we are proud to play our role as a leading digital enabler, providing smart and sustainable solutions that serve the community, develop infrastructure, and enhance national competitiveness.”
