Youth Ministers from Bahrain and Jordan Discuss Empowerment Initiatives
H.E. Ms. Rawan bint Najib Tawfiqi, Bahrain’s Minister of Youth Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Dr. Raed Sami Afash Al-Adwan, Minister of Youth in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during her official visit to Amman. The meeting focused on enhancing youth cooperation between the two countries and promoting joint efforts to empower young people.
At the start of the meeting, Minister Tawfiqi highlighted the strong brotherly relations between Bahrain and Jordan, rooted in a long history of shared ties and supported by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.
She emphasized the importance of building on previous achievements and partnerships in the youth sector to benefit both nations, noting the mutual interest in sharing expertise and expanding opportunities for youth participation in development initiatives.
Minister Tawfiqi also stressed that the shared vision of investing in youth and providing supportive environments strengthens their leadership role in national initiatives and creative projects, contributing to a prosperous future for young people in both countries.
The meeting reviewed bilateral cooperation in youth empowerment, discussed updates to the 2023 executive program, and explored strategic priorities for the coming period. Discussions also included activating the Jordanian Ministry of Youth’s membership in the “Al-Amal” network and organizing joint youth events to enhance regional collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Dr. Al-Adwan welcomed Minister Tawfiqi’s visit, affirming the deep historical ties between the two countries and the commitment to developing strategic youth partnerships. He praised ongoing efforts to expand cooperation and adopt joint initiatives that invest in youth talent, creativity, and innovation.
He added that the Jordanian Ministry of Youth is keen to open more channels of collaboration with Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth across multiple areas, translating the leadership’s vision into tangible projects and initiatives that benefit young people in both nations.
