Joint Statement by Bahrain and 23 Arab-Islamic States Condemns Israeli Military Actions in Gaza

A ministerial committee appointed by the Joint Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit, including representatives from the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the State of Palestine, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey, the Arab League, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Djibouti, the Republic of Gambia, the State of Kuwait, the State of Libya, Malaysia, the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, the Sultanate of Oman, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, and the Republic of Yemen, have expressed their strong condemnation and outright rejection of Israel’s declaration of its intent to impose full military control over the Gaza Strip.

The committee considers this announcement a serious and unacceptable escalation, a violation of international law, and an attempt to entrench an illegal occupation and impose a fait accompli by force, contradicting relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

They affirm that Israel’s declared approach continues its grave violations, including killing, starvation, forced displacement, annexation of Palestinian land, and settler terrorism—actions that may amount to crimes against humanity. This approach also destroys any opportunity for peace, undermines regional and international efforts aimed at de-escalation and ending the conflict, and exacerbates severe violations against the Palestinian people.

For 22 consecutive months, the Palestinian people have faced aggression and a comprehensive siege impacting all aspects of life in Gaza, alongside serious violations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
