The bodies of three soldiers, who were martyred on Tuesday at the Saudi-Yemen border, were laid to rest here yesterday.

Three mass funerals were held in the afternoon to bury the bodies of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) soldiers Captain Ahmed Mohammed Ameen, Captain Mubarak Sa’ad Al Rumaihi and Sergeant Hassan Ali Eskandar in Riffa, Muharraq and Hidd.

The funerals were attended by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, BDF Commander-in-Chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, scores of BDF personnel and family members and friends. They offered their heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers.

As reported yesterday, the three martyrs were among five BDF soldiers who were involved in a traffic accident in Jizan region, near the Saudi-Yemen border while on their sacred duties as part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to defend legitimacy in Yemen.
