Khalifa Bin Salman Foundation Launches “Excellence Scholarship” for 2026-2027

The Khalifa Bin Salman Foundation has announced the launch of its “Excellence Scholarship” under the “Rayat” program for the 2026-2027 academic year, offering opportunities for talented Bahraini students to pursue unique postgraduate specializations.

The new scholarship targets outstanding students who excel in rare and in-demand fields, aiming to prepare leaders who can make a meaningful impact on the local community and the job market.

Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than 494 scholarships in various fields tailored to students’ interests and the needs of Bahrain’s labor market, in line with the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2050. Its graduates have earned prestigious awards and achieved success both locally and internationally.

Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, said:
"At the Khalifa Bin Salman Foundation, we are committed to investing in promising young talents by providing opportunities that enhance their skills and prepare them to contribute to the nation’s growth and future. Our goal is to empower students academically and personally so they can become effective leaders in society."

The scholarship is open to Bahraini youth with exceptional leadership potential and a proven record of community contribution in their fields. It will support them in earning a master’s or doctoral degree, either in Bahrain or abroad. The award covers full tuition fees but excludes living expenses and travel costs.

Applications for the 2026 scholarship will open in April and will be available to university students through the foundation’s official website. Applicants must secure university admission before applying.

Established in 2011 as a non-profit organization licensed by Bahrain’s Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Khalifa Bin Salman Foundation focuses on empowering Bahraini youth through education. It offers workshops, courses, and training programs to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed—benefiting both the individual and the nation.
