Bahrain Space Agency Joins Global Talks on Moon Exploration

The Bahrain Space Agency took part in an international meeting focused on coordinating global efforts for lunar exploration. The agency was represented by Dr. Mohammed Al Othman, Engineer Ali Al Mahmood, and Engineer Hala Ibrahim.
The meeting, known as the ATLAC Lunar Consultation Group, is supervised by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). It brought together experts from around the world to discuss challenges and opportunities related to moon exploration.
Held in a hybrid format, the session combined in-person discussions in Vienna with virtual participation. Representatives from several member states, including Bahrain, shared insights and recommendations.
The ATLAC team is working on a multi-year action plan to support sustainable lunar exploration. This includes developing international guidelines and ensuring that activities on the moon are conducted in an organized and peaceful manner.
