The Ministry of Works, in coordination with the General Traffic Directorate at the Ministry of Interior, has announced two temporary road closures as part of ongoing infrastructure development and maintenance efforts.

As part of the development of parking lots on Shaikh Abdullah Highway, located opposite Isa Grand Palace in the Muharraq area, a full closure will be implemented on the section between Shaikh Isa Highway and Shaikh Mohammed Highway.

The closure will take effect today, and will remain in place for three weeks. Traffic will be diverted to surrounding roads during this period.

Public safety

The Ministry urges all road users to follow traffic signs and regulations to ensure public safety.

Maintenance work on the flyover at the intersection of Shaikh Khalifa Avenue and Shaikh Isa Avenue (Saar Interchange) in the direction of Seef Area will require the closure of the right lane.

Two lanes will remain open to maintain traffic flow. This partial closure took effect from 12:00 AM yesterday, until 5:00 AM tomorrow.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and comply with traffic guidelines while passing through the area.

The Ministry of Works and the General Traffic Directorate thank the public for their cooperation and understanding as efforts continue to enhance the national road network.
