‘High speed’ reverse parking leads to mishap
A motorist’s attempt to reverse parking a car yesterday caused an accident that left major damage to the vehicle, according to social media reports.
The driver, reportedly a Bahraini girl, crashed her car against the wall of the parking lot at a mall while she was attempting to park the vehicle, sources said.
From the picture circulated on online forums, it can be deemed that the car was moving at a high speed while reversing.
Reacting to the picture, social media users expressed their outrage. “An impact like that requires the vehicle to be in a high speed. For her taking such a speed in a mall shows full disregard for a) the driving laws b) the speed limits of the car park and c) anyone and everyone around her,” a social media user remarked.
In another accident yesterday, a car reportedly rammed into an iron barrier on Zallaq Highway. No one was injured in the mishap. However, neither of reports was confirmed by authorities.
