Indian School Bahrain Celebrates International Yoga Day

The Indian School Bahrain observed International Yoga Day with a powerful message of enhancing physical and mental well-being. The event saw the presence of Principal V.R. Palaniswamy, Senior School & Academic Administration Vice-Principal G. Satheesh, Middle Section Vice-Principal Jose Thomas, Head of Physical Education Sreedhar Siva S, physical education teachers, and students.

This year's Yoga Day celebration was themed 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health,' reflecting the belief that inner peace and self-care are fundamental for a healthy and fulfilling life. Through this celebration, the school underscored its unwavering commitment to promoting the timeless values of yoga for global health, harmony, and well-being.

Over 160 students from the middle section showcased their dedication to yoga with remarkable demonstrations. The session, led by Physical Education teacher R. Chinnasamy, featured a variety of yoga asanas, highlighting the students' discipline and skill.

School Chairman Adv. Binu Mannil Varughese, Secretary V. Rajapandiyan, Vice-Chairman and Sports Committee Member Dr. Mohammed Faizal, other members of the executive committee, and Principal V.R. Palaniswamy commended the enthusiastic participation of the students. They also praised the Physical Education Department for its exemplary coordination and dedication in organizing the event.
