Workshop for tourist guides at cathedral

The King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance, in collaboration with the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia, organised a workshop for tourist guides at the cathedral’s premises in Awali.
The event brought together Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia; Father Saji Thomas; Father Nicholson; Father Charbel Fayad, pastor of the Arab community in Bahrain; and Mona George, representing the Centre, along with tourist guides from various nationalities.
Bishop Aldo Berardi commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s donation of the land on which the Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia was built.
He highlighted the cathedral’s role as a religious centre that promotes freedom of belief and exemplifies coexistence and religious tolerance in Bahrain and the wider region.
During the workshop, Bishop Berardi provided a comprehensive overview of the cathedral’s significance, its unique architectural and artistic features, and its role as a religious landmark.
