GCC Passenger Detained After Mid-Flight Disturbance on Gulf Air

A GCC citizen who caused a disturbance on board a Gulf Air flight from Bahrain to Kuwait was detained by airport police upon arrival on Sunday, following the activation of the airline’s security procedures during the flight.

Incident on GF213

The incident occurred on flight GF213 on June 8th during its route from Bahrain to Kuwait. Gulf Air confirmed that one of the passengers, identified as a citizen of a GCC country, created a disruption mid-flight, prompting the cabin crew to initiate precautionary measures in line with international safety protocols.

In a statement, the national carrier said the situation was handled with full coordination between Gulf Air personnel and the Kuwaiti authorities. Upon landing at Kuwait International Airport, the passenger was immediately taken into custody by airport police.

Safe disembarkation ensured

All passengers were safely disembarked following the incident, and no injuries were reported. Gulf Air expressed its regret for any inconvenience caused and emphasised that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew members remain its highest priority.

Regional coordination praised

The airline also extended its appreciation to the Kuwaiti authorities for their utmost professionalism and prompt response.
