The second and final phase of Sama Bay on Galali’s waterfront is now more than 90 percent complete, with construction on track to bring 12 new seaside restaurants to life in the coming weeks.

Millet Engineering Bureau, which oversees the design and implementation, confirmed that six new buildings with direct sea views have been structurally completed and are being fitted out to host two dining venues each.

The upcoming restaurant district is set to transform the shoreline into one of Bahrain’s most vibrant culinary destinations.

Expansion milestone

Phase One of the Sama Bay project introduced retail spaces, a beachfront promenade, sports courts, and two public beaches that quickly turned the area into a recreational magnet.

The open-air gym, walking tracks, and community zones saw strong visitor turnout during events like Bahrain Sports Day.

Dr Salman Alghatam, General Manager of Millet Engineering, said the project has maintained its delivery timeline and continues to meet international engineering and quality standards.

“In a remarkably short span, Sama Bay has become a flagship destination drawing locals and international visitors alike,” he said. “This final phase raises the bar, offering a unique seaside dining experience that blends comfort with coastal ambience.”

Strategic boost

Once launched, the new dining cluster is expected to strengthen Galali’s tourism profile and contribute to Bahrain’s national tourism and economic diversification goals.

The Sama Bay development aligns with the Kingdom’s Tourism Strategy 2022–2026 and supports the broader Economic Vision 2030 agenda by enhancing coastal experiences and lifestyle infrastructure.

With its final touches underway, Sama Bay is preparing to open its restaurant doors soon, bringing sea views and fresh flavours to the heart of Galali.
