His Majesty King Hamad Arrives in Riyadh to Lead Bahrain's Delegation at GCC-US Summit

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to lead Bahrain’s delegation at the GCC-US Summit, hosted in Riyadh. The visit comes at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Upon arrival, His Majesty was warmly received by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Governor of Riyadh, along with Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), ambassadors of both nations, and senior officials.

In a statement upon his arrival, His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation to King Salman and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for hosting the summit and for their ongoing efforts to foster regional and international stability.

His Majesty emphasized the importance of the summit as a vital platform to strengthen the enduring partnership between the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the United States. He underlined the need to further develop strategic cooperation to serve common interests and effectively address regional and global challenges affecting peace and security.

King Hamad also praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership, under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, for its significant role in maintaining international peace, supporting Arab and Islamic causes, and promoting global collaboration to ensure shared prosperity.

Looking ahead, His Majesty expressed his hope that the summit would result in constructive outcomes that enhance joint efforts and reinforce strategic alliances.

An official mission of honour was formed to accompany His Majesty during his visit, led by the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
