Tourism chief and banking executive visit landmark youth camp as national support grows
Senior figures from Bahrain's tourism and banking sectors visited the Qudha Junior Training Camp this week, underscoring growing institutional support for one of the kingdom's most ambitious youth development initiatives.
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) CEO Sara Ahmed Buhejji led the visits, touring the camp held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre and observing participants engaged in training sessions and team challenges. She praised the programme's holistic approach to youth development, highlighting its role in building discipline, teamwork, and self-reliance among young Bahrainis.
"BTEA is committed to supporting initiatives that align with national development goals," Buhejji said, adding that hosting Qudha Junior reflects the centre's ability to serve as a versatile destination — accommodating not only exhibitions and conferences but also meaningful national and community programmes.
Also visiting the camp was Anwar Murad, Deputy CEO for Banking Services at Al Salam Bank, the camp's gold sponsor. Murad toured training grounds, met participants, and received briefings on the camp's structured curriculum before expressing his admiration for the organisation and energy on display.
"We are proud to be gold sponsors of Qudha Camp," said Murad. "What we witnessed — the enthusiasm, discipline, and diverse programming — reflects this initiative's noble goals and the tremendous efforts behind it."
The camp is held under the directives of Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard, and supervised by Brigadier Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of Royal Guard Special Operations, in partnership with Studio Master.
