The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) has announced the launch of its highly anticipated cultural programme, “We Meet at the Pearling Path,” in celebration of the holy month of Ramadan.

The programme, running from March 10 to 20, 2025, will be hosted at the Pearling Path Visitor Centre in Muharraq.

It will be open daily from 9pm to midnight, with extended hours on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until 1am.

Intiative

This initiative coincides with the launch of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s “Ramadan of Goodness in Bahrain” calendar of events, enhancing the cultural and social offerings during this special time of year.

Over the course of ten days, visitors will enjoy a wide range of cultural, heritage, and entertainment events, including folk art evenings and educational workshops that highlight authentic Bahraini customs and traditions associated with Ramadan.

Cultural heritage

The events are designed to engage families, children, and the community at large in the rich cultural heritage of Bahrain.

Among the highlights of the programme are special activities for children and families, including a dedicated folk games corner, a children’s corner, and artistic workshops focused on Ramadan themes such as decorations, Gergaon bags, Islamic pattern mosaics, and the crescent.

Notably, the Gergaon Night will take place on March 13 and 14, where participants will walk from the Al-Ghus House to the Al-Jalahma House, accompanied by the Al-Hidd Youth Band, the Qalali Folk Arts Band, and local children, capturing the essence of this traditional celebration.

The “Hanin Sidra” Exhibition for Antiquities will feature a lecture by Dr. Abdullah Al-Sulaiti, while the Fakhro House will host the “Muharraq Auction.”

In addition, visitors can look forward to a variety of Bahraini food tasting experiences celebrating the island’s famous dishes.

BACA encourages the public to stay updated on the latest developments regarding the “Meeting on the Pearling Path” activities, as well as parking information, through its social media platforms (@CultureBah).
