Convicted fugitive extradited to Bahrain

A fugitive wanted by Bahrain under an international arrest warrant has been arrested and extradited to the Kingdom, announced Attorney General Abdullah Al Dosari, who heads the International Cooperation and Human Rights Office at the Public Prosecution.
The individual in question had been charged with sexual assault and, upon being found guilty, was sentenced by the competent court to three years in prison.
After fleeing the Kingdom, the Public Prosecution issued an international arrest warrant for his capture.
He was subsequently arrested in another country and extradited to the Kingdom of Bahrain, thanks to coordination with the Ministry of Interior’s International Affairs and Interpol Department.
