HM King appoints key officials at ministries

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (7) of 2025, appointing an Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, based on the proposal of the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the decree, Mariam Juma Khamis Al Fleiti, Director of Beneficiary Service Directorate at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, shall be appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Services Affairs at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, replacing Fatima Ibrahim Khalifa Al Mannai.

HM the King issued Decree (3) of 2025, appointing an Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Development, based on the proposal of the Minister of Social Development and following the approval of the Cabinet.

The decree stipulated that Mahmood Abdulwahed Matrook, Director of the Competitiveness Enhancement Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, shall be appointed Assistant Undersecretary for Welfare and Social Rehabilitation, replacing Zainab Salman Al Owainati.

His issued Decree (6) of 2025 transferring a Director-General at the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the Cabinet approval.

The decree stipulated that Esmat Jaffar Akbar Ali, General Director of the National Qualifications Framework and National Examinations, shall be transferred to serve as Deputy CEO of the BQA.

Transfer

HM King Hamad issued Decree (5) of 2025, transferring an undersecretary and an assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, based on the proposal of the Minister of Education and following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the decree, Nawal Ibrahim Ahmed Al Khater, Undersecretary for Policies, Strategies, and Performance, shall be transferred to serve as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Sana Saeed Abdullah Al Haddad, Assistant Undersecretary for Strategies and Performance, shall be transferred to serve as Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Planning and Licensing at the Ministry of Education.

His Majesty issued Decree (4) of 2025, appointing a member to the Board of Directors of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), following the approval of the Cabinet.
