Public Security Chief Attends Graduation of 27 Participants from Coast Guard Courses

HE Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Public Security, attended the graduation ceremony for participants of several specialised courses held at the Maritime Training Wing of the Coast Guard. The courses involved 27 trainees from the Coast Guard, the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, and the National Guard.
The Chief of General Security expressed pride in the participants’ achievements and performance throughout the programmes. He noted that these programmes reflect the strategic aims of the Ministry of Interior, as outlined by HE Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior. These aims focus on enhancing human resources through thorough training and technical skill development to achieve high performance levels.
The Chief of General Security pointed out the value of these courses in preparing participants for future challenges in maritime security. He remarked that the training system is crucial for advancing various aspects of police work. He praised the involvement of members from the Royal Navy and the National Guard in the Coast Guard’s courses, stressing the importance of aligning concepts and practices to achieve effective integration and cooperation. This collective effort aims to ensure safety in our territorial waters and secure our maritime borders, with a view towards further joint participation and exercises.
The Maritime Training Wing Commander noted that the training programmes’ objectives align with the Coast Guard Command's annual plan, aiming to build personnel capabilities and adapt to technological advancements and emerging security challenges in the maritime sector.
The Chief of General Security also distributed certificates to the graduates of the training courses.
