AMAIUB organizes beach clean-up drive
AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) organized a beach clean-up drive at the Karbadad Beach, Seef.
Spearheaded by the University’s External and Community Engagement Office and in cooperation with the Capital Municipality, the beach clean-up aimed to emphasize AMAIUB’s environmental awareness initiatives, promote volunteerism among its academic community in cleaning the coastal shores, and campaign for the protection of the Kingdom’s marine life.
Employees and students joined hands in collecting large amounts of plastics and other non-biodegradable wastes that are harmful to the environment.
Conducted annually, the beach clean-up drive comes in line with the efforts of the University to provide avenues for the students, faculty, staff and industry partners to share their efforts in achieving environmental sustainability and empower their sense of stewardship in the community.
