Bahraini to share stage with Indian popular singer

A Bahraini artiste and lover of Indian classical music will perform today along with popular Indian playback singer Dr. K.J. Yesudas during the event, ‘Musical Rain’ at the Indian School ground. 

Noor Azeemi, who is specialised in  Bharatanatyam, Vocal, Violin and Indian classical dance, would perform for an Indian classical song, ‘Boshambo,’  which narrates the story of Hindu God Shiva and Goddess Parvati. 

Noor Azeemi, who is also an expert in sound therapy, has learnt Eastern music under Archana Krishnakumar, J. Kumar and Shobha.

Dr. K.J. Yesudas is a well-known name in Indian musical world as a master of Indian classical, devotional and cinematic music.

Moreover, he has recorded over 60,000 songs in many languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya, Marathi, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tulu, Malay, Russian, Arabic, Latin and English in a career spanning over five decades.

Along with Dr. KJ Yesudas, well-known south Indian stars, KS Chithra, Vijay Yesudas, Shweta Mohan and Meera Nandan will present a spectacular performance in the music festival, which would start at 6pm.
