On a royal mission
Manama : His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charity, Waqf, yesterday took part in the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Brunei Darussalam on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The celebrations marked the 50th anniversary of the Sultan of Brunei and Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s accession to the throne.
Speaking on the occasion, His Highness highlighted the strong bonds between the two countries, which has led to the development of economic, political and cultural ties between Brunei Darussalam and Bahrain.
His Highness also affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to building on the strong foundations of common values and economic and cultural goals shared with the Sultan of Brunei and Brunei Darussalam.
Shaikh Isa extended Bahrain’s congratulations, on behalf of His Majesty the King, to the Sultan on the 50th anniversary of his accession to the throne.
Earlier, Shaikh Isa was received on his arrival by Pehin Dato Abd Rahman Ibrahim, Minister of Finance, Major General Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, and Dato Paduka Seri Hj Mohd Jammy bin Hj Muhd Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force.
