Yemen, Philippine missions in Saudi close over coronavirus cases

The Yemen Embassy and an office in the Philippines Embassy, both in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, have announced that they are closing indefinitely due to a number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) amongst staff, reported AFP. The Yemeni Embassy made the announcement on Twitter late on Saturday, but did not specify how many people had contracted COVID-19.

Similarly, the Philippine Embassy also announced that starting yesterday its office for labour affairs will close after a number of employees were tested for the coronavirus, and six people were confirmed positive for the disease. The office is being sterilised and employees were working remotely, according to the embassy
