Husband strangles bride on wedding night

Islamabad: Khanzadi Lashari, 19, was still in her wedding dress when her husband Qalandar Baksh Khokhar allegedly brutally killed her on their wedding night in Pakistan.

He strangled the new bride on their wedding night after he discovered she was not a virgin.

Lashari's family was expecting the newlyweds after the wedding but became suspicious when they didn’t show up reports Metro.

His suspicion grew when they didn’t get a response when he reached their house on March 30.

It was only after the family forced their way into the house that they discovered Khanzadi's body lying on the bed.

But the groom was no where to be found.

They notified police and Khazadi's brother filed a report accusing Qalandar and his four brothers of strangling his sister to death.

According to the report, the wedding ceremony went well and the family only became suspicious after the couple left the venue.

Qalander was discovered the next day with a bullet to his leg and was arrested after his wounds were treated at a hospital in Jacobabad.

Qalandar has also admitted that he killed his wife with the cotton twine of her dress for not being a virgin and fled from there.

Qalandar has been charged with intentional and deliberate murder.
