Shark Attack Sends Surfer to Hospital in Australia

Perth: A surfer in his fifties was rushed to the hospital after a shark attack at Glenfield Beach in Western Australia on Monday morning.

Emergency services received reports of the strike, located just over 400 kilometers north of Perth, around 9:45 am. Health authorities confirmed the man remains in serious but stable condition.

State officials have advised locals to exercise additional caution around the beach following the encounter.

Australian scientists suggest that rising ocean temperatures and increasingly crowded waters are altering shark migratory patterns, contributing to a recent surge in regional attacks.

The incident follows several fatal maulings across Australia earlier this year, including three divers killed between May and Jun adding to more than 1,300 recorded shark encounters nationwide since 1791.
