Qatar Condemns Netanyahu’s Entry into Syrian Territory, Warns of Regional Escalation

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned what it described as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s illegal entry into Syrian territory, calling the crossing of international borders a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty and a serious threat to regional security.

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the move constitutes a flagrant breach of international law and undermines Syria’s territorial integrity at a time of heightened tensions across the region.

The ministry urged the international community to take urgent and effective measures to compel Israel to comply with international law and relevant resolutions, particularly the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel.

Qatar also called for an end to what it described as repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, warning that continued violations could contribute to further escalation and instability in the region.

The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria, while expressing solidarity with the Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability and prosperity.

The statement comes amid continuing regional tensions and heightened concerns over military activity and violations of national borders. Qatar stressed the importance of respecting international law and existing agreements as essential steps toward preventing further escalation.

Doha reiterated its position that international efforts should focus on protecting the sovereignty of states and maintaining regional stability, while calling for compliance with established agreements governing the separation of forces in the Syrian-Israeli area.
