Israel Rejects Trump’s Gaza Plan
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected US President Donald Trump’s 15-point plan for Gaza, saying Israeli forces will not withdraw from the territory until Hamas is fully and genuinely disarmed.
Speaking at a cabinet meeting on Sunday, Netanyahu said Israel does not accept the 15-point document and that any withdrawal would depend on Hamas giving up all its weapons.
The plan calls for Hamas to surrender its weapons, followed by a phased Israeli withdrawal and the establishment of a new Palestinian administration in Gaza under international oversight.
Netanyahu said Israel is discussing its objections with Washington, adding that some US proposals are acceptable while others are not.
Hamas, meanwhile, has said it remains committed to the roadmap and called on the US and mediators to pressure Israel to follow the agreed process.
