Ukraine to Enter Winter With ‘Virtually No Thermal Power Plants’

KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that relentless Russian strikes have left his war-torn country with virtually no intact thermal power plants as it prepares for another winter of the invasion.
Speaking in Belgrade alongside Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, Zelensky outlined the severe challenges facing Ukraine's energy grid ahead of the cold season. He emphasized that targeted Russian missile strikes are aimed directly at crucial infrastructure to make daily life unbearable for Ukrainians during the winter months.
With its primary thermal energy generation severely compromised, the nation now faces critical heating and power vulnerabilities as it braces for another challenging winter period amidst the ongoing Russian aggression.
