Student Gunman Kills Teacher, Dies by Suicide in Thailand School

Bangkok: A teacher and a student gunman were killed in a school shooting in Thailand on Friday, with four people injured, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province, just north of Bangkok. Police said the suspected shooter, a student at the school, opened fire before killing himself. The attack killed one teacher, while another teacher and three students had injuries and transported to the hospital for treatment. Authorities stated the motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
An 18 years old student who witnessed the incident said that he first thought that the loud explosions were firecrackers before understanding they were gunshots. Emergency services rushed to the school, evacuating children and staff while police guarded the premises.
The shooting comes months after another deadly attack on a school in southern Thailand, raising fears about violence in educational institutions. Police said investigations were ongoing, and further information would be shared as it became available.
